ILGA conferences are a unique opportunity for LGBT activists from all corners of the world to meet, share their experiences, elect their representatives and decide what ILGA as their “umbrella” organisation should work on during the years following the conference. Activists also vote to decide where the next conference will take place.
Because participants to the conference can in many ways shape ILGA’s workplan, only ILGA members who support the organisation by paying their membership fees can vote.
Member associations which cannot attend can vote by asking others to vote on their behalf.
